Well I have just finished off gears of war 2 with a friend on hardcore, and it was outstanding. It gets really good near the end but it is a quality title throughout. I managed to complete the whole game playing only coop. It was a mixture of split screen coop with family over Christmas, and playing with friends over X Box live. Now all that remains is to complete it again on insane mode which should be a challenge. Coop is where Gears really shines, and there are some nice sections (like the bit where you have to carry the explosives) that really complete the experience if your playing with a human player. Here’s hoping that the Resident Evil 5 coop will be up to the same standards because nothing beats coop in my books.
I have also been playing skate recently, although there are parts that make me want to break the disc in two. Any of the challenges that needed a 360 flip took ages, because of the way they crammed so many moves onto the analogue stick. I do like the analogue controls, its put me off tony hawks for life. But they do need some refinement. Those parts are over now however and I am just stuck on the last skate magazine photo.
