I am sure you have all picked up a ridiculously cheap game at some point that was too cheap to resist. This week I managed to pick up Splinter Cell: Double Agent on 360 for £3. It was second hand but works fine. I have already completed it which verifies that it is a very good game in my books. Usually I take longer to complete games I am less drawn to but with this I went straight through it. I have every previous splinter cell but was put off of double agent when it first come out because it looked like a different kind of game. The reality is however that the double agent idea works very well, where you are working for a terrorist organisation whilst gathering evidence against them. The story line is pretty good and the main characters are well portrayed. It all most made me not want to betray the terrorists near the end of the game. Another feature of this game is the ability to make choices, you juggle the respect of your spy agency and the terrorist organisation with the decisions you make. Depending on how things are when you get to the end you will get one of three different endings.
So this was a nice bargain for me, but what have you found?

Hi there! I’m Zelkina, I’m a 22 yr old girl. Games I play included Day of Defeat, Team fortress 2, Guild Wars, Travian, Call of Duty 4, Company of Heroes, BF2142 to name a few. I’m also in to rock/metal music and like going to concerts and such. I also write fan fiction and my own stories, am a big Harry Potter fan so much of my fanfiction is based on that. This is my first attempt at a reveiw, so i hope you enjoy!
Zel.
After much complaining and utterances of “Why haven’t you got it yet?” from my clan mates, I purchased Day of Defeat: Source two weekends ago. Bargain price of £5, with all the conversion charges and what have you thrown in. That, and we had been playing from about 12 noon that day as they were doing a free weekend of it.

Hey people reading this (And those whose minds I’m directly projecting this into; you Know who you are..) I’m here to put stuff in this blog that you may find useful, or you might find it a load of old bollocks. Nothing wrong with old bollocks mind you, they have a nice, leathery texture, and are just packed with vitamins.
Well I think I should move on from the Bollocks (TM) and post something constructive (and Highly contradictory. Irony is fun, isn’t it? ..No? Well, nuts to you mate.) I am a PC gamer primarily and a console basher in my spare time. Whats wrong with consoles? The majority of Xbox live users, thats what.
Well, ok, they’re not too bad, but still.. I know where my bread is buttered.
Games I’m currently playing:-
Day of Defeat: Sauce
Conterstrike: Horse
Team Fortress 2
Fallout 2
Well thats about it for now. I’m still not entirely sure what it is I can contribute exactly, but hell, there’s worse bloggers out there on the internet, and you know it.

If like me you have downloaded quite a bit of addition content and games for your Wii then its likely to be getting pretty full. I recently went on the hunt for an SD card to solve my lack of memory issue and found some very cheap ones on play.com. When I ordered mine they were £5.99, but they are now £6.50 so the prices are fluctuating somewhat. Either way they are very cheap and 2 gigs is a lot of Wii blocks( 1MB is approx 8 blocks).
So if you live in Europe and need an SD card play.com is the place to order from.
The SD cards I am referring to are the SanDisk 2GB.
There are cheaper play.com alternatives but there are some comments of those not working very well.
Thanks to my extra space I have the chance to get most of the wii ware games, reviews to come soon!

My girlfriend recently stumbled across travian, probably thanks to the insane amount of adverts for it that are floating around the web. Now I have played a few website games in my life, the main ones being ogame, bitefight and vendetta and they do provide a nice slice of gaming strategy without firing up a PC game or your console. Travian seems go a bit further than other website games I have played by having 3 races each with differen attributes. The idea of travian is to build a village, gather resources and make settle or occupy new villages on the playing field. You can build armies, form alliences and send messages between players so there are quite a lot of features. For those who have never played a website game like this you gather resources over time and use them to build buildings and units. Everything you build has a build time so you tend to your village(s) then leave it for a while and come back to it when you need to. These games do not require constant attention and are therefore good for playing with in lunch breaks or when you do not have the time to play a more demanding game.

If interested send a message to Zelkina on travian.

Just as EAs reputation is steadily growing with me, EALA have to go and pull this one off. I purchased kanes wrath back on the release date only to find that the multiplayer was pretty much broken. The game constantly de-synchronised unless you played 1v1. I wanted to play with my friends not in a tournament match vs one other player so I waited for the promised patch. After much
“the patch has been delayed because we are too busy working on RA3 and Kanes Wrath 360 having problems allocating resources to the project”
And FOUR months later…
They brought out a patch that supposedly fixed the dysncs and balanced the game a bit better. While the balance changes are nice, they are a bit pointless seeing as the game still dysncs constantly with games over 4 players. Apparently this is OK, as according to one of the community moderators as there statistics show that players only play 1v1 or 2v2 anyway. This is a joke because how can they get reliable statistics from broken multiplayer game and how do they know how people play it on LAN.
All I have to say after this is Command and Conquer is dead, Long live Starcraft!

Bad Company allows you to take screen shots to view on your pc, but the screen shots have only recently been available for download on the bad company website. In amongst my screen shots I found this nice little image of a pair of Humvee stat padders caught red handed.

Shame on you XiT ShellShock and IGz xSoLuTioNzZ
